So....what's been going on?
The latter part of the month of August was really busy for me. I had committed to a mail art swap which took up more of my time than I anticipated. I created 26 mixed media mail art postcards for the swap which were then sent (mostly) to the US and a couple overseas. It was a lot of fun however other things were put on the back burner so that I could meet my commitment deadline. Let's face it, anyone who knows me well, knows that I am THE Queen of the Last Minute!
At the end of August I started a massive purge of my crafting supplies. I found a new home for a massive amount of supplies and I still have more to give away. I re-homed mostly paper crafting supplies - cardstock, scrapbook paper, envelopes, stickers and embellishments - as well as paint, markers, and some stamps. That was step one which I was able to get done before I went away for vacation. I also discovered AliExpress - OMG ! - and have been buying up dies and supplies ever since!
September 14th we went to Palm Springs for 3 weeks, returning on October 4th, just in time for
the Canadian Thanksgiving. The weather in Palm Springs was wonderful, not even one day of bad weather. I was terribly lazy and spent the majority of my time in the pool. It was heaven! The only shopping I did down there was for crafts and that was minimal.
For the last week or so, I've been selling a few dies and stamps on a crafting supply FB group. Some of the items I'm selling are going for half of what I paid for them and many of them have never been used. Purging can be very stressful and intimidating, which it was in my case, but once I actually got into it, it was quite liberating. I'm not feeling so weighed down with stuff and I'm keeping only the things I really like. That's a good thing! My studio still looks like someone broke into my home and tossed it, but I'm gradually getting there.
Well must run. I have several videos coming up on my YouTube channel and will be posting some pix at some point (soon) so please stay tuned.
Caio!
