Can you believe?

that Christmas is less than a week away?  Good Grief!!  Every year it's the same thing....I'm always surprised that Christmas has come so quickly.  How is it that it always sneaks up on me?   Before I retired, I had an excuse - not a great one, I'll grant you, but an excuse none the less.  Working, so busy and stressed out - blah, blah, blah.  Now not so much so I guess I'll have to come up with a new one!

So....I'm finally beginning to enjoy my retirement for what it is.....an excuse to do nothing or something, depending on my particular mood that day.  During my illness, I had a lot on my mind and while I didn't do very much other than take chemo and run to doctors,  I didn't really get to fully decompress and just enjoy my time.   Now I am and it's wonderful!!

I'm in the process of revisiting my greeting card business....might try a different approach and see what happens.  I want to continue making my cards - have I mentioned lately how much mixed media stuff and stamps I have?  Just not sure what card making in the New Year will look like.

I'm finishing up my Christmas cards and hope to get them out tomorrow.  It goes without saying that anything sent outside BC will not make it in time for Christmas so those cards will be "Happy New Year" cards.    I've noticed that fewer and fewer people seem to be sending cards so this might be my last year for sending to anyone other than family.  In any case, regardless of whether they are  HNY cards or Christmas cards they are going out tomorrow.

I finally finished putzing around with my Youtube banner and got it uploaded - see below.  That thing took me hours and hours to get right.  I was just about ready to pull my hair out!!!
