I 'm one of those people who spend hours - and I do mean hours - visiting art sites and watching mixed media artists create their small and large works of art. I've learned so much - at least in my mind I have - however I don't often put any of things I've learned into practice.
I think there's a reason for that. I suspect, like others, that I've listened to the negative self talk for far too long and it's caused me to doubt myself. Now really, how very silly is that? Artistry very seldom comes naturally; it's developed through practice, repetition and experimentation. And lots of trial and error.
I've had my "aha" moment and now I know that I just need "to do it" and not worry about the outcome. Now that's a radical concept for me!
So this is me embarking on a new artful adventure. I can hardly wait to see where it leads me.
