Arting and summer heat

Well the summer has finally arrived here on the coast.  It has been quite hot the last couple of days which has made it difficult to sleep.  All the windows are open and the fans are working overtime....it's all good.

My studio is on the second floor at the back of house.  This are gets the sun from about 1 pm on so on a hot day, my studio is blistering.  While I do on occasion hook up the fan in my studio, it tends to be more of a nuisance than a help because it blows everything around.  Between that and my old cat Socks,  some days it's hard to get any work done in there during the day.  I tend to spend a lot of time in my studio late at night when it's cooler.  As well,  I have trouble sleeping so I often prowl the house until the sun comes up.....literally!

Anyway, my arting is on track.  I've been working in two of my journals as well as working on greeting cards and ICADs, I guess it's been a fairly productive time in spite of the warm weather.
