It's been too long....

I am soooo disorganized ....I cannot believe that it has been a full month since my last posting!

Since my chemo is coming to an end soon - just 2 more treatments.....woohoo!!! - I have been busy with attending all my appointments and getting milestone tests done in preparation for finishing.  Energy is still an issue and while my sleeping challenges have improved some, they are still not completely resolved.  I just completed a battery of tests to try to determine if there is a cause for the lack of energy so I'll find out soon what is going on.

Not too much happening on the art front.  I participated in a christmas alphabet tag swap which I enjoyed.  I'm also playing in a swap on CST, which big surprise, wait for it.......I'm behind on it so hope to get my cards out for October and November on Monday.  I'm also working on more cards for the store and of course, I need to complete my personal Christmas cards as well.

I have a Youtube channel but have nothing on it so I thought I would challenge myself to post everyday for the month of November.  I thought it would be a piece of cake. It was way more difficult than I anticipated, particularly since I know nothing about the niceties of creating and editing videos.  I made it to about day 10 and then I missed a couple because I didn't have any content to upload and I didn't just want to be posting drivel.  Long story short I deleted the videos I had created.

I must say I tip my hat to those prolific youtubers.  I had no idea how much work it entailed nor did I fully appreciate the effort they were putting into their channels.  I'm thinking that I need to devote myself to the blog and once I'm into a routine then perhaps I'll start doing the occasional process video, flip through or vlog.

At this point in time I do not have a scanner.  I purchased a new printer several months ago and did  not realize that it didn't scan or copy.  I already had it home and set up before the light bulb went off in my head telling me I screwed up.  I was not prepared to take the printer back, perhaps I should have, and decided to make do.  However, while I don't scan a lot of stuff, I do find it inconvenient not to have that ability.  I find taking pictures and then downloading to my computer is a real pain. So....yesterday I purchased a hand held scanner on Amazon.  Very reasonably priced, excellent reviews and it won't take up a lot of extra space on my desk and does not need to be attached to the laptop.  Everything loads onto a memory card which is then inserted into the card reader.  Sounds great and I'm looking forward to getting my hot little hands on it.  It should be here by Wednesday.

Well must run.  I'll make an effort to post twice weekly - Monday and Thursday? - and get some good "stuff" up on the blog.
