Queen for the Day

Once I had a plan, this spread came together really easily.   The border along the sides of the pages is flocked velvet so it's quiet interesting and luxurious feeling.  I quite love the colour combinations of black and ivory/pale yellow.  I think it's a classic look and very elegant.  Somewhere in my future, I might do a journal based on those colours.  Food for thought.

The image of the female is one I found on-line on one of the free sites.  Sorry can't remember which one.  The background paper is from La Creme Stack from DCWV. I have tons of die cuts so I dug into my stash and used them in this spread and I'm quite pleased with the end result!  I embellished some of the diecuts with glitter and used a stabilo pencil to go around the images to give some shadow.  Final step was to dip a fan brush into some watered down black paint and splatter away.
